Tell us about yourself: (school, chapter, work, hobbies, LKS activities, meetings attended, career plans)
I am a P2 student at Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy and am the upcoming president of the Alpha Phi Chapter. I am currently an intern at Rite Aid Pharmacy and would love to pursue a residency upon graduation.
Some of my favorite hobbies include working out and doing arts/crafts in my spare time. I attended last year’s 2019 Convention in Milwaukee and had a blast meeting new sisters from other chapters!
Which of our core values (sisterhood, leadership, service, scholarship and integrity) do you feel you most strongly represent and how?
I feel that I most strongly demonstrate the core value of leadership. This past year, I held both positions of president-elect and chaplain within my chapter. Unfortunately, we did not have enough members to fill all officer positions at the time, so I decided to step up and take on two officer positions. Without LKS, I would not have developed the leadership skills that I have today.
What pharmacy or LKS related events are you looking forward to in this upcoming year?
Some of the LKS events that I am most excited for this upcoming year include my chapter’s initiation. I am so excited to welcome our future new sisters into the chapter this upcoming fall! I am also excited for our chapter to hold another chemotherapy drive in which we can give back to the community and fulfill our core value of service.
What is your favorite chapter/school tradition?
My favorite chapter tradition is that we hold a First Aid event each year for our local Girl Scout Troops. Unfortunately, we had to cancel this year’s event due to COVID-19, but I am very excited for us to start planning for next year’s event so we can help educate the Girl Scouts in our community!
Who do you see as your role model in LKS and why?
In LKS, I see the Alpha Phi president, Lexie Panek, to be a role model of mine. She has done a great job as president helping our chapter improve overall. She has done an excellent job helping the chapter transition and stay engaged online as on campus classes and activities were cancelled. I hope to be able to carry out her excellence as president of the chapter this year!
What makes you excited to be a ‘lamb for life?’
I am so excited to be a lamb for life because of all the networking opportunities and friendships I have made from joining LKS. I am excited for all the future interactions and connections I will make from being part of this sisterhood!
