Student Spotlight: Meet Morgan Casciole

Tell us about yourself: (school, chapter, work, hobbies, LKS activities, meetings attended, career plans)
Hi! My name is Morgan Casciole, and I am a member of the Alpha Phi chapter. I am a current P2 and pursuing the PharmD/MBA program at Wilkes University. I am an active member within my chapter’s social media committee. I had an internship at CVS, but I recently took on a position with Lehigh Valley Health Network. Right now, I am unsure of what area of pharmacy I would like to pursue, but I am open to anything! My main interests at this time are ambulatory care and managed care pharmacy.

In my free time, I enjoy taking my dogs for a walk, exercising, and spending time with friends and family!

Which of our core values (sisterhood, leadership, service, scholarship and integrity) do you feel you most strongly represent and how?
I believe that the core value of integrity most strongly resonates with me. I believe that it is important to remain truthful and do everything to the best of your ability. Acting with integrity will instill a trust with other people, which is super important in the healthcare field.

What pharmacy or LKS related events are you looking forward to in this upcoming year?
The event that I am looking forward to is the first aid event for our local Girl Scout Troops. I was looking forward to this event that was supposed to be held this past April, but it was unfortunately canceled due to COVID-19. This year it will be virtual, but I still think it will be a great experience. I am excited to help the Girl Scouts in our community earn their badges!

What is your favorite chapter/school tradition?
My favorite school tradition that we hold is our Pharmacy Ball. Each year in February, Wilkes University hosts a dance for P1s-P4s. It’s a night full of fun with friends and the faculty!

Who do you see as your role model in LKS and why?
There are so many people that I look up to within LKS. If I had to choose one person, it would be our chapter advisor, Dr. Letitia Warunek. She’s so supportive and is always willing to go out of her way to help us. She is always there for us and greets everyone she sees with a smile and a positive attitude. I am very happy to have her as an advisor!

What makes you excited to be a ‘lamb for life?’
I am so excited to be a “lamb for life” because of all the great friendships I have made. Through the fraternity, I have gained friendships, connections, and learning experiences that I would not have had otherwise. I believe that LKS’s core values coincide with who I am as a person as well. I am thankful for all the support I have received from LKS, and want to be someone others can count on.
