Membership in Lambda Kappa Sigma is not just for women who were initiated into one of our collegiate chapters during their pharmacy school years. LKS offers women that did not join during pharmacy school the opportunity to join the Lambda Kappa Sigma Alumni Association as an Alumni Initiate. I don't know where to start! My first Convention was in 1994 Vegas and I was the incoming Grand Secretary. Lucky for me I ran unopposed! I roomed with Grand Lamb Marilyn Harris. I met SO many lambs that year who still great friends today. I was slightly intimidated by CMP AND Keely thought I was Mormon bc I wasn't drinking (I had just found out i was pregnant lol) I have pics somewhere but they are prints so this is the one that we will all hate but it's only a couple years old lol. My most precious memory from this 1994 Convention was 1) Kathy asking me “so tell me about you” (which is a line I use to this day) 2) Our dearly departed PGP Donna stealing the Wizard of Oz menu during a late night dinner (same night all her LKS jewelry was stolen) 3) meeting Adele Lowe right before she passed.

I joined LKS shortly after we were permitted to have live classes and events. Before joining LKS, I felt lost and at some point considered even leaving the pharmacy field due to having a lot of doubt that I would be able to succeed in the field. After joining LKS, I was able to realize that I have the ability to become a great pharmacist and that progress is not linear, but rather convoluted yet filled with excitement! I am deeply grateful for every experience I’ve had with LKS, as I would not have been in a happier place in my life without it! LL
