COLLEGIATE FRATERNITY AWARDS

Ruth Davies Flaherty Service Award

Awarded to one member of a chapter who has exhibited outstanding service and loyalty. The Headquarters Office will create a certificate, which the chapter is encouraged to present to the recipient at a special ceremony. NOTE: There is no charge for the award certificate. Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.
Deadline: Spring (any time during the spring each year)

Ethel J. Heath Scholarship Key

Awarded for outstanding scholarship to each graduating collegiate member in good standing who has attained a cumulative scholastic rank in the top 10% of their graduating class. Students have their chapter president and Dean of the School or College of Pharmacy complete the Ethel J. Heath Scholarship Key Certification Form and then sends it to the LKS Headquarters Office, along with a headshot.

Collegiate of the Year

The Lambda Kappa Sigma Collegiate of the Year Award is given annually to a collegiate member who embodies our five core values of leadership, scholarship, sisterhood, service, and integrity in an exemplary manner within Lambda Kappa Sigma, the profession of pharmacy, and/or the community. Nominations will be open for any member of the organization (collegiate or alumni) to nominate a collegiate who they believe goes above and beyond to demonstrate the core values.
The Awards Nomination & Selection Committee will select the recipient.
The award will be presented at the Annual Convention.

Collegiate of The Year Requirements

If a collegiate is nominating another collegiate member, they will need to also have an alumni/advisor sponsor for their nomination.
The nominee must be an active dues-paid member of Lambda Kappa Sigma and have consented to being nominated.
The nominee’s curriculum vitae must be uploaded to the application.
Deadline: April 30th.

Welcome to the Lambda Kappa Sigma Collegiate Chapter Achievement Awards, where we celebrate the outstanding achievements and creative endeavors of our chapters. These awards honor the exceptional efforts of our members who embody the spirit of sisterhood, leadership, and innovation in our fraternity. Applications and nominations are open from April 15 to May 15, so mark your calendars and get ready to showcase your chapter’s achievements!

Award Categories
This prestigious award honors a chapter’s exceptional leadership team that has exemplified outstanding leadership, teamwork, and a positive chapter culture. Nominations can be made by Grand Council officers, Region Supervisors, Fraternity/Faculty Advisors, or Alumni. One exemplary leadership team will be selected and announced at Convention, celebrating their dedication and impact.

Celebrate the heart of sisterhood with this award, given to the chapter that has organized a memorable and creative sisterhood event. Events can be virtual or in person, as long as they took place during the current school year. Three finalists will submit a video for final review, and the winner will be revealed at Convention.

Recognize a chapter’s innovative and successful recruitment strategy with this award. The focus is on creativity and effectiveness in recruitment efforts. Three finalists will be chosen based on their submissions and will provide a video for final evaluation. The winner will be announced at Convention.

Honor a chapter’s creative and effective social media strategy with this award. This accolade celebrates chapters that excel in engaging and growing their audience through innovative social media campaigns. Three finalists will present their strategies via video submissions, with the winner announced at Convention.

This award highlights a chapter’s commitment to professional growth by recognizing a standout professional development event. The event must have taken place during the current school year, and three finalists will submit videos showcasing their event. The winner will be selected at Convention.

Celebrate the chapter that has fostered strong connections with P4s and alumni through a meaningful and impactful event. Events can be virtual or in person and must have occurred during the current school year. Finalists will submit videos for review, and the winner will be announced at Convention.

This award honors the chapter that has demonstrated creativity and success in organizing a philanthropic event supporting Project HOPE or the Educational Trust. Three finalists will provide video submissions, and the winner will be chosen at Convention.

Recognize the chapter that has excelled in planning and executing a service event supporting the Women’s Health Initiative. All events must have taken place during the current school year. Finalists will submit videos for final review, and the winner will be announced at Convention.

Application and Nomination Process

  1. Prepare Your Submission: Gather all necessary materials and documentation for your event or strategy.
  2. Submit Your Application/Nomination: Ensure that all materials are submitted by May 15 to be considered for an award.
  3. Finalist Selection: Three finalists in each category will be chosen based on initial submissions.
  4. Video Submission: Finalists will create and submit a video showcasing their achievements.
  5. Award Announcement: Winners will be announced and celebrated at the Convention.

Top Recruitment Strategy

This award is meant to honor a chapter that was not only creative and innovative when planning and carrying out their recruitment, but also successful. All recruitment events must have taken place during the current school year. Three finalists will be chosen and they will complete a video submission for final review by judges with a winner to be selected at the convention.

Top Social Media Strategy

This award is meant to honor a chapter that was not only creative and innovative when planning and carrying out their social media strategy, but also successful with their engagement. All social media metrics/posts must have taken place during the current school year. Three finalists will be chosen and they will complete a video submission for final review by judges with a winner to be selected at the convention.

Top Professional Development Event

This award is meant to honor a chapter that was not only creative and innovative when planning and carrying out a professional development event, but also successful. All events must have taken place during the current school year. Three finalists will be chosen and they will complete a video submission for final review by judges with a winner to be selected at Convention.

Top P4/Alumni Event

This award is to honor a chapter that promoted the LKS core value of Sisterhood within their chapter or the Fraternity by holding a creative and impactful event for their P4’s and/or alumni.
