Collegiate Fraternity Awards
Awarded to one member of a chapter who has exhibited outstanding service and loyalty. The Headquarters Office will create a certificate, which the chapter is encouraged to present to the recipient at a special ceremony. NOTE: There is no charge for the award certificate. Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.
Deadline: Spring (any time during the spring each year)
Ethel J. Heath Scholarship Key
Awarded for outstanding scholarship to each graduating collegiate member in good standing who has attained a cumulative scholastic rank in the top 10% of their graduating class. Students have their chapter president and Dean of the School or College of Pharmacy complete the Ethel J. Heath Scholarship Key Certification Form and then sends it to the LKS Headquarters Office, along with a headshot.
Collegiate of the Year
The Lambda Kappa Sigma Collegiate of the Year Award is given annually to a collegiate member who embodies our five core values of leadership, scholarship, sisterhood, service, and integrity in an exemplary manner within Lambda Kappa Sigma, the profession of pharmacy, and/or the community. Nominations will be open for any member of the organization (collegiate or alumni) to nominate a collegiate who they believe goes above and beyond to demonstrate the core values.
The Awards Nomination & Selection Committee will select the recipient.
The award will be presented at the Annual Convention.
Collegiate of The Year Requirements
If a collegiate is nominating another collegiate member, they will need to also have an alumni/advisor sponsor for their nomination.
The nominee must be an active dues-paid member of Lambda Kappa Sigma and have consented to being nominated.
The nominee’s curriculum vitae must be uploaded to the application.
Deadline: April 30th.
In addition to awards, students are eligible for Educational Grants through the LKS Educational Trust.
Alumni and Faculty Awards
Award of Merit
Recognizes LKS alumni members who have distinguished themselves through academic achievement, professional advancement, community service, organizational work, or commercial endeavor.
Deadline: April 30 (The winner is informed in June and receives complimentary registration to the National Convention where the award will be presented.)
Distinguished Service Citation
Recognizes an alumni member for their outstanding service to the Fraternity. Current Grand Council members are not eligible.
Deadline: April 30 (The winner is informed in June and receives complimentary registration to the National Convention where the award will be presented.)
Recognizes a member in the first 10 years of pharmacy practice to recognize excellence in professional practice, community service, organizational and Fraternity involvement, and other leadership achievements.

Recognizes an alumni member who has made sustained exemplary contributions in her/his area of professional practice, and/or in professional associations, regulatory boards, and in the community, emphasizing service to others, innovations, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Recognizes a Fraternity or Faculty Advisor of Lambda Kappa Sigma for outstanding service and dedication to the chapter.

Honors members who were initiated 50 years ago for their dedication and loyalty. In addition, members who have attained 50 years of membership are exempt from further payment of dues.
Deadline: N/A Award is automatically mailed (or is presented at the convention if the member is in attendance).
Chapter Awards (Applications and Nominations Open April 15- May 15)
This award is to honor an outstanding leadership team within LKS chapters. Grand Council officers, Region Supervisors, Fraternity/Faculty Advisors, or Alumni may nominate a chapter e-board for this award that has proven to be great examples of leaders, has worked together as an effective team, and has worked to help build a positive culture in their chapter. One leadership team will be selected as a winner and will be announced at Convention.
This award is meant to honor a chapter that promoted the LKS core values of sisterhood within their chapter or the fraternity by holding a creative and special sisterhood event. All events must have taken place during the current school year and could have been held virtually or in person. Three finalists will be chosen and they will complete a video submission for final review by judges with a winner to be selected at the convention.
This award is meant to honor a chapter that was not only creative and innovative when planning and carrying out their recruitment, but also successful. All recruitment events must have taken place during the current school year. Three finalists will be chosen and they will complete a video submission for final review by judges with a winner to be selected at the convention.

All social media metrics/posts must have taken place during the current school year.
