At Lambda Kappa Sigma, we take great pride in recognizing those who truly exemplify our core values of leadership, scholarship, sisterhood, service, and integrity. This year, we are thrilled to present the Collegiate of the Year Award to Elizabeth Lambert, whose exceptional contributions to Lambda Kappa Sigma and the Beta Chapter have been nothing short of extraordinary.
A Leader Who Inspires
Elizabeth Lambert has shown remarkable leadership throughout her time with the Beta Chapter. Nominated by both a fellow sister and her Region Supervisor, Elizabeth\’s influence has been profound. As President of the Beta Chapter, she has consistently embodied the values of Lambda Kappa Sigma, always going the extra mile to support and uplift the fraternity. Her leadership is both impactful and humble, setting a high bar for her peers.
Exemplifying Core Values
Elizabeth’s involvement goes far beyond her official roles. From Historian to Vice President and then President, she has consistently exceeded expectations. Her deep commitment to understanding and enhancing what Lambda Kappa Sigma means to each sister speaks volumes about her dedication. Her leadership extends beyond Lambda Kappa Sigma, having served as President-Elect and then President in ACCP, as Secretary/Treasurer of Rho Chi, and participating in the Board Review Committee at ACPHS.
Commitment to Sisterhood
Elizabeth is the epitome of sisterhood. She was quick to volunteer for Beta Beta and Beta Epsilon’s virtual initiation ceremony, engaged in the LKS Mentorship Program, and maintains connections with other chapters, including having an LKS pen pal with a sister at Alpha Beta. Her commitment to fostering a strong sisterhood is truly commendable.
Impact on the Beta Chapter
As Vice President, Elizabeth tackled the challenge of reforming the chapter’s bylaws, continuing this crucial work as President. Her thorough approach to refining these bylaws played a key role in keeping the chapter organized and cohesive. Additionally, she established new traditions for the chapter’s annual scrapbook and composite photographs and took on the task of researching Beta’s history as the chapter’s first historian.
As President, Elizabeth aimed to strengthen the bond in our sisterhood through sisterhood events such as Tag-a-Sister and Sistersgiving. She shares, \”After focusing so much on getting Beta organized, it was time to make it fun!\”
Academic Excellence and Community Service
Elizabeth’s achievements extend well into her academic and community work. She has consistently been on the Dean’s List at ACPHS, provides study support and tutoring for her sisters, and earned the Norma Chipman Wells Educational Trust Grant and the Ruth Davies Flaherty Service Award in 2024. She has also been recognized as a Pharmacy Graduate Teaching Assistant.
Elizabeth’s team won the AMCP P&T Competition at the regional level, representing the only chapter in their region.
Her dedication to community service is equally impressive. Elizabeth has been active in the Pharmacists Society of the State of New York Lobby Day, provided blood pressure screenings at the Heart of Hope Gospel Concert, and served as an Immunization Ambassador in ACPHS, helping P1s practice and earn their immunization certificates. She also provided bone density screenings to the local community at the ACPHS Health Expo and the local YMCA.
One of her favorite community service initiatives was organizing the donation and packaging of reusable menstrual products to be sent overseas to areas in need.
Celebrating an Exceptional Member
Elizabeth Lambert’s achievements this year, including being named Beta Chapter’s Sister of the Year, highlight her outstanding contributions. Her dedication, leadership, and commitment to Lambda Kappa Sigma make her an ideal recipient of the Collegiate of the Year Award.
Please join us in celebrating Elizabeth Lambert for her remarkable accomplishments and unwavering commitment to Lambda Kappa Sigma. Her contributions continue to inspire and elevate our community, and we are honored to recognize her as the 2024 Collegiate of the Year.
