LKS spotlights student and alumni members that are making a difference in their chapters, in their communities, and in the field of pharmacy.
Tell us about yourself:
Nu Chapter President (I am a P3) at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. I have been to convention in Atlanta 2017 and Buffalo 2018 and I am excited for Milwaukee 2019 because I am originally from Wisconsin. My favorite LKS activity is playing intramural sports, especially volleyball, with my sisters!
Why did you join LKS?:
I joined LKS because I wanted to get involved in something while in pharmacy school. After meeting some of the sisters in LKS I immediately felt welcomed and at home. I saw LKS as a great group of women supporting and encouraging each other and I wanted to be just like some of the older members I met. I loved what LKS stands for but I also loved how at home I felt and the community and friendships I gained from joining.
Most memorable LKS experience:
My most memorable LKS experience: Winning Midwest Chapter of the Year in 2017 in Atlanta because I was so proud of all the hard work my sisters put into the year to achieve that recognition.
Career Plans:
My dream job is to be a discharge pharmacist at a hospital in Montana.
