At Lambda Kappa Sigma, we take great pride in recognizing the exceptional achievements and work of our Collegiate Chapters. The Top Sisterhood Event award honors a chapter that has creatively promoted the core value of sisterhood within their chapter or the fraternity. This year, we\’re thrilled to recognize the Beta Chapter from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for their outstanding sisterhood event.
Beta Chapter designed a unique and memorable event that started with each sister receiving a plain white t-shirt with Lambda Kappa Sigma Greek letters. The fun began as sisters dipped their hands in fabric paint and tagged each other’s shirts based on prompts that reflected core values:
- Tagging a big/little
- Tagging a sister who makes you laugh
- Tagging a sister involved in another professional organization
- Tagging a sister you met through LKS
- Tagging a sister you trust
- Tagging a sister who helped you study
By the end of the event, each shirt was covered in colorful handprints, symbolizing the positive impact each sister had on others. Sisters took photos throughout the activity, capturing the joy and connection shared among them. Later, at the end-of-year chapter meeting and banquet, the shirts were brought out again for signatures, turning them into cherished keepsakes.
This event beautifully highlighted the strong sense of sisterhood within Lambda Kappa Sigma, celebrating individual contributions and fostering deeper connections among members.
The Top Sisterhood Event award was proudly presented to Beta Chapter at the 2024 Lambda Kappa Sigma Convention in Brookfield, Wisconsin! Congratulations to Beta Chapter for this well-earned recognition!
