LKS spotlights student and alumni members that are making a difference in their chapters, in their communities, and in the field of pharmacy.
Tell us about yourself:
My name is Kaite Kenjesky. I attend Massachusetts College of Pharmacy where I will be graduating with a Doctor of Pharmacy in May 2021. I am a member of Lambda Kappa Sigma’s Alpha chapter where I have served as Fundraising Officer and currently serve as Alpha chapter’s President. I have worked part time as a CVS intern for four years. I am also currently working on a research project on cancer drugs which I hope to have published by next summer. My hobbies include playing piano, reading, and exploring new places. Some LKS activities I have planned include fundraisers with various businesses as well as organizing a clothing drive for the homeless in Massachusetts.
I joined LKS because:
I joined LKS because I wanted to improve my professional skills as well be able to lean on and learn from other women in pharmacy. Thanks to LKS, I have been given the opportunity to be president this year! As fundraising officer, I was able to advance my skills in delegation, multi-tasking, communication and leadership. I hope to further develop these skills and more as president of Alpha chapter.
My most memorable LKS experience:
My most memorable LKS experience was my first final banquet. The circle of sisters was such a profound experience for me. Hearing my sisters speak of encouragement, praise and love for one another was moving. As I had said before, one of the reasons I joined LKS was for the sisterhood aspect. This event really showed me how meaningful our relationships are and how much of an impact LKS sisters can have on one another.
