Celebrating Inclusive Innovation: Tau Chapter Named 2025’s Top Recruitment Strategy

The Top Recruitment Strategy Award recognizes a chapter that has made a true effort to improve and revamp their recruitment process in a creative, innovative, and successful way. At the 2025 Annual Convention in Pittsburgh, this award was proudly presented to the Tau Chapter at Duquesne University for their outstanding approach to welcoming new members.

Tau Chapter stood out this year for its genuine, inclusive, and mission-driven recruitment strategy. Their efforts centered on creating a safe and welcoming space for all students, personally connecting with potential members during orientation and following up thoughtfully with those who expressed interest. With an emphasis on communication, leadership, and LKS’s five core values, their approach reflected the very best of what it means to be part of the sisterhood.

Through themed events like “Honey, I’m Home” and “LKS in Full Bloom,” Tau offered engaging opportunities for students to learn about LKS while experiencing the warmth of the chapter. These events included interactive games, service activities, and traditions such as cupcake decorating, blending creativity with community building. Recognizing the importance of inclusion, Tau went a step further by hosting a dedicated virtual information session to reach online pathway students—ensuring that all pharmacy students, no matter where they were, had the chance to connect with LKS.

The results of their intentional and innovative efforts speak for themselves: 22 new members were successfully inducted, and Tau Chapter’s commitment to inclusion and creativity set a new standard for recruitment excellence. We are proud to recognize Tau Chapter as the 2025 recipient of the Top Recruitment Strategy Award.
