Empowering the Next Generation: Alpha Phi Chapter Named 2025’s Top Service Event

The Top Service Event Award honors a chapter that was creative, innovative, and successful in planning and carrying out a service event related to the Women’s Health Initiative for this biennium. At the 2025 Annual Convention in Pittsburgh, this recognition was proudly presented to the Alpha Phi Chapter at Wilkes University.

Alpha Phi earned this honor through their 10th annual Girl Scout event, a standout initiative that exemplifies the chapter’s dedication to service and community impact. Focused on mental health and well-being in alignment with the Women’s Health Initiative, the event welcomed over 60 Girl Scouts and provided an engaging, educational experience.

Attendees participated in interactive, hands-on stations led by pharmacy, nursing, and psychology students, offering practical tools and knowledge for emotional and physical wellness. Activities included stress-relief techniques, self-breast exam education, and cosmetic formulation through lip balm making—helping young girls build confidence while learning important health and self-care skills.

By combining creativity, education, and meaningful engagement, Alpha Phi’s event highlighted the chapter’s commitment to empowering the next generation and promoting women’s health. Their work serves as a model of how thoughtful planning and collaboration can make a lasting impact on the community.

We are proud to recognize Alpha Phi Chapter as the 2025 recipient of the Top Service Event Award!
