Meet Ashley Robold

About Ashley

I graduated from Wilkes University (Alpha Phi Chapter) in 2017, and I now work for Acme Sav-on Pharmacy as a floater pharmacist in the Philadelphia, PA area. I recently got engaged, so almost all of my free time now is spent wedding planning, which is so much fun! I also love shopping, exploring, spending time outside, and baking – chocolate chip cookies are my specialty! I am currently the secretary for the Alpha Phi alumni chapter, and I’ve attended two LKS Conventions: Naples in 2014 and Scranton in 2016. I am also very involved in the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association, as well as my county association, where I serve as a member of their event planning committee.

Most memorable LKS experience

I am a huge supporter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and have participated in many of their Out of the Darkness Community Walks over the past 5 years, both in Wilkes-Barre and Philadelphia. In Wilkes-Barre, I’ve always walked with my LKS sisters. While I was walking in Philadelphia with my dad last fall, we walked past a group of ladies from Temple (Alpha Alpha Chapter) who were all wearing their letters. Of course I stopped to say hello, and I automatically felt so connected because we were all sisters supporting the same organization. It was such a wonderful experience!

The advice you would give to others

Say yes to things. If you have even a glimpse of interest, just say yes and see what happens. It can only lead to new experiences and learning opportunities. Also, the answer is always no if you don’t ask. I’ve recently adopted this one for myself, and it still surprises me how much I’ve been able to do just by asking.

Why are you a lamb for life?

Being involved in professional organizations is so important to me, but I’ve always wanted more out of them than just calling myself a member. LKS has connected me in so many ways to a network of successful women, and that network and those relationships continue to grow. I am amazed at how much opportunity has come about because of and through LKS since graduation.

If I were not a pharmacist I would be

If I weren’t a pharmacist, I would absolutely work in a bakery. Thank goodness I am a pharmacist, though, because if I worked in a bakery I’d probably stop baking for fun, and then I’d need to find a new hobby!
