At Lambda Kappa Sigma, we’re proud to highlight the incredible achievements of our Collegiate Chapters. This year, we’re excited to award the Omicron Chapter from Wayne State University, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for their outstanding professional development event, which truly set a new standard.
Omicron Chapter organized and developed a four-part seminar series held on Monday nights via Zoom over four consecutive weeks. The series aimed to equip young women with crucial leadership skills for the post-undergraduate world. Guest speakers covered essential topics such as mastering interviews, overcoming imposter syndrome, building confidence in the workplace, finding mentorship, and improving communication and negotiation skills.
Participants received helpful handouts and offered feedback through post-session forms, ensuring the series was continuously refined and relevant. The event effectively addressed gender-specific challenges and created a supportive environment for growth. By showcasing successful women leaders and providing practical strategies, the seminars built a strong community of support.
Omicron Chapter’s innovative approach empowered participants with the skills and confidence needed for leadership roles and new job opportunities.
The Top Professional Development Event award was proudly presented to Omicron Chapter at the 2024 Lambda Kappa Sigma Convention in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Congratulations to Omicron Chapter for this well-earned recognition!
