A Career Dedicated to Education and Quality Improvement
Dr. Ginger Scott has been a vital part of the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy since 1994, serving as a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Systems and Policy and as the Director of Continuing Education. She has devoted her career to teaching courses in Outcomes and Quality Improvement, Patient Health Education, and Pharmacoeconomics, always aiming to educate and train students and pharmacists to improve patients\’ quality of life.
A Leader in Pharmacy and Community Health
Dr. Scott is highly respected for her work in medication error reduction, quality improvement, and redesigning pharmacies to optimize patient care. She has also collaborated extensively with the West Virginia Medicaid Program to enhance the quality of pharmacy services for the citizens of West Virginia. Her efforts have made a significant difference in the level of care provided throughout the state.
Celebrating 50 Years of Membership
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Scott is also being recognized for her 50 years of membership in Lambda Kappa Sigma. This incredible milestone highlights her enduring commitment and dedication to our fraternity. Her long-standing service and involvement have greatly enriched our community, making her a cherished member of LKS.

Dr. Scott\’s influence on Lambda Kappa Sigma is deeply felt by the Alpha Omicron chapter, where she has been a mentor and guide. As a past recipient of the Advisor Award, she is known as the ultimate cheerleader for her chapter members. The Alpha Omicron chapter shared, “Dr. Scott treats all of her students as if they were her own children. She always made sure we had everything we needed to succeed, putting our needs before hers. Even as she transitions into retirement, Dr. Scott will continue to support our chapter as our advisor, taking extra steps to ensure she could continue in this role as professor emeritus. This just goes to show how much Lambda Kappa Sigma means to her; she is the epitome of what a sister should be.”
