Student Spotlight: Meet Alexandra Nugent!

LKS spotlights student and alumni members that are making a difference in their chapters, in their communities, and in the field of pharmacy.
About Alexandra:

My name is Alexandra Nugent and I am third year student at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy and a proud member of the Alpha Nu Lambda Kappa Sigma! Outside of LKS I am a member of several other pharmacy organizations, including APhA and KPhA. Outside of UKCOP I am pursuing my Masters in Public Health dual degree. Also, I work at Wheeler Pharmacy in Lexington, KY and Bourbon Community Hospital in Paris, Kentucky. In my spare time I enjoy playing with my cat Cosmo, reading, and exploring new places to eat in Lexington!

I Joined LKS Because:

I joined LKS because I was drawn to the message of empowering women in pharmacy and the chance to bond with other women in my pharmacy class with the same ideals. My most memorable experiences with LKS are the community service opportunities, spending time with my sisters in class, and attending Convention 2018 in Buffalo! LKS has also given me the opportunity to develop my leadership skills through service as the current president of Alpha Nu chapter and last year served as chaplain.
