LKS Sister Spotlight- Meet Miranda Morman!

Lambda Kappa Sigma is at the forefront of empowering women in pharmacy, fostering connections, and creating meaningful impact. In our ongoing Sisterhood Spotlights series, we’re proud to introduce Miranda Morman, a dedicated member of Alpha Beta Chapter at the University of Connecticut, whose journey exemplifies the transformative power of sisterhood, national involvement, and leadership within LKS.

Meet Miranda Morman:

Hailing from East Haven, CT, Miranda embarked on her LKS journey during her freshman year at the University of Connecticut. Since then, she has been an active participant in the chapter’s activities, serving in various leadership roles such as National Communications Committee member, Chapter President, and Social Committee Head. Miranda’s dedication to LKS extends beyond her chapter, having attended two national conventions (’22 & ’23) to connect with sisters from across the country.

In addition to her LKS involvement, Miranda works as an intern at Stop & Shop, where she applies her pharmacy knowledge and skills in a real-world setting. In her free time, Miranda enjoys immersing herself in hobbies such as reading, hiking, crafting, and cherishing moments with friends and family.

Choosing LKS: A Pathway to Connection, Growth, and National Leadership

Miranda’s decision to join LKS as a pre-pharmacy student was motivated by her desire to establish connections within UConn’s School of Pharmacy and find a community of like-minded individuals. What she discovered within LKS exceeded her expectations, as she found herself forming deep friendships and expanding her network beyond her university’s boundaries. Miranda’s national involvement in LKS has been particularly notable, as she recently assisted Erin Rogala, Managing Director, and Justine Dickson, Grand Vice President for Collegiates, in planning a national photoshoot for the Fraternity. Miranda and Alpha Beta chapter hosted six nearby chapters on their campus for two days, showcasing her leadership and organizational skills on a national scale.

Fostering Involvement: Maximizing the LKS Experience

For Miranda, the most beneficial aspect of her LKS involvement has been her proactive approach to participation. By actively seeking out opportunities to contribute and volunteer, Miranda has not only honed her skills but has also formed stronger bonds with her sisters. Through her active engagement, Miranda has made the most out of her LKS experience, developing new skills and forging connections that will last a lifetime.

A Vision for the Future: Impacting Outpatient Pharmacy

Looking ahead, Miranda’s aspirations lie in working in outpatient pharmacy within an ambulatory care setting post-graduation. With her dedication to patient care and her passion for creating meaningful connections, Miranda is poised to make a lasting impact in the field of pharmacy, embodying the values of Lambda Kappa Sigma.

In celebrating the journey of Miranda Morman, we celebrate the spirit of sisterhood, connection, and personal growth that defines Lambda Kappa Sigma. Stay tuned for more spotlights, as we continue to showcase the remarkable stories of our members and their contributions to the profession of pharmacy!
